When I was
a young girl my brother and I had a conversation about perspective
and how we
view the world. We had a unique common ground
about how unusually we deciphered moments. He’s a writer and
sees everything as bits of a story. Me, well, I see everything as if
I am looking through a viewfinder, as if all scenes are just framents
of time.
I think that photography can stimulate things deep with in our thoughts
and emotions. Not only is it an insightful tool for education, but
it also a means of expression.
I use photography in many ways. My passion is portraiture and working
with people, but I enjoy almost all types of photography. Many times
I find myself striving to create images that are quixotic and fantastic;
I find that the unrealistic can be an escape from certain logical boundaries.
Other times I want to represent what is true.
The images on this site are just a few samples of some of the different
kinds of photography I enjoy.
You are an also an important thread of the tapestry. Although I sometimes
create images for just myself, I find that often times I am very interested
in how my images affect the viewer. Often times I hope that my images
provoke thought and/or emotion within the viewer.
